$5,000 enables a family to be part of Nido de Esperanza for a full year! With that generous gift, you provide weekly sessions at The Reading Corner for the entire family, 50 books for the home library, clothes for the baby for the year including warm hats, coats, a stroller footmuff so the mama feels safe taking the baby outside in the winter time, and a rain cover for the stroller so she can venture outside in any weather, you may be wondering, are strollers lightweight? well the ones we give away are. This gift provides a Pack n’ Play so there is a safe sleep space (and a decrease in the risk of SIDS) and a stroller and baby carrier. This gift also enables us to provide supplemental diapers (which costs ~$500 with no government assistance programs in place) and formula for the baby. This gift also helps us to provide childcare so the mama can learn English with our volunteers every Wednesday.
